Force feeding nurse is suspended

A nurse who force-fed a patient as she tipped him over on a chair has been suspended. Padmini Devi Ranjith restrained an elderly resident in a bucket chair while flipping him backwards, causing his feet to fling up in the air, a tribunal heard. Ranjith asked a health care assistant to grab the patient’s hands to stop him from hitting out while she fed him against his will at the Marmaduke Street Care Home in Liverpool on 26 March 2019….
