Granddad’s up the gantry

A grandfather who climbed a gantry on the M25 and brought it to a standstill has avoided jail. Gardener Anthony Whitehouse, 71, strapped himself above junction 6 and 7 of the motorway using ropes and a harness refusing to move on 7 November.
