A Moldovan killer hacked his sister-in-law to death with a hatchet after the victim complained the police and Home Office did nothing to help her, a court heard. Nicolae Virtosu, 49, is accused of murdering Svetlana Mihalachi, 53, on 9 April 2021 after making repeated threats to kill her.
