Accused cop has Covid

A Met Police officer accused of raping a woman on Brighton beach was unable to appear in court after he tested positive for Covid. Sergeant Laurence Knight, 33, is said to have carried out the attack on July 17 last year. He was not on duty at the time and was suspended from Stoke Newington Police Station, north London after the allegation was made.
