Accused drink driver tried to leg it in his sliders

An accused drink driver was caught by police after he tried to run off in his sliders, a court heard. Stuart Whittaker, 40, was allegedly found to be over the legal limit on Holland Walk, Kensington, on 26 March this year. He then spat at paramedic James Wilding, it was said.
