Accused of murder of this missing woman

An alleged killer has appeared in court charged with murdering a woman who disappeared a month ago. Maureen Gitau, 24, was last seen as she left her home in Evelyn Street, Deptford, southeast London and was reported missing by friends a week later. Mark Moodie, 54, appeared at the Old Bailey via video-link from HMP Thameside charged with murdering Ms Gitau. Wearing a green jumper Moodie spoke to confirm his name and date of birth.
