Amateur chemist ‘made bombs in the garden’

An accused bomb maker appeared in court today (Fri) accused of cooking up ingredients for deadly explosives in his back garden. Roger Smith, 46, was caught with a cocktail of chemicals needed for a bomb, including hydrochloride acid, sulphuric acid, nitric acid, peroxide, acetone and isopropanol at his home in Nottingham, the Old Bailey heard.
