Anjem Choudary ‘led banned organisation Al-Muhajiroun’

Radical preacher Anjem Choudary, who is accused of leading and directing the banned militant network Al-Muhajiroun, appeared in court today (Fri). Choudary, 56, was arrested in July over alleged membership of the proscribed organisation. Canadian national Khaled Hussain, 28 was also arrested in connection to similar offences. The cleric was taken into custody during a dawn raid by Met Police counter terrorism detectives in east London, while Hussain was arrested at Heathrow Airport.
