Asylum seeker became cigarettes and people smuggler

An Iraqi man who was granted asylum in the UK became a people smuggler helping illegal immigrants across the Hungary-Austria border, a court heard. Muzafar Sabir Sabah, 36, came to Britain from Iraq in 2002 and was granted asylum on humanitarian grounds. He has since become a British citizen, settling in Coventry with his wife and three children but now faces extradition to Hungary.
