Bank clerk cleared of ripping off old lady

A bank clerk was cleared of stealing nearly £10,000 from an elderly customer after telling jurors: ‘I’m not a fraud.’ Cheryl Ashill, 57, was said to have taken advantage of the mental state of Betty Lowe to make a series of cash withdrawals while working at a branch of NatWest in Upminster, Essex.
