Bomb hoax at the US embassy ‘not a terror incident’

A bomb hoax which sent the US embassy in London into a full security lockdown was not a terrorist incident, an Old Bailey court heard. Daniel Parmenter, 43, allegedly left a fake IED near to the embassy in Nine Elms on 22 November. Police officers attended and a controlled explosion was carried out.
