Booze barons smuggled 19,000 bottles of wine
A cross-channel booze smuggling gang cheated the taxpayer out of £500,000 in a swindle involving 19,000 bottles of wine, a court heard. Gregory Campbell, 52, Zenel Bytyqui, 61, and drivers Hayat Hassan and Egin Hassan, 62 and 60, were convicted of conspiracy to evade duty on 16,000 litres of wines after a trial at Southwark Crown Court.
