A runaway monkey escaped from a balcony after a pet shop owner kept the animal in ‘shocking’ conditions, a court heard. Marmoset ‘Nicky’ slept in a cage designed for guinea pigs on a diet of dog food and did not have proper toilet facilities, it is claimed.
