Burglar Graham Gomm claimed he was ill – then busted out of hospital

A prisoner escaped from hospital after claiming he had fallen ill in his cell, a court heard. Graham Gomm, 63, sneaked out of Hammersmith Hospital in west London in the early hours of 18 July 2024. He was taken there from Wormwood Scrubs earlier after insisting he was seriously ill. Gomm was on remand at the time at the Category B prison for burglary offences.
