Car seat crush retrial to be heard in September

The retrial of a former Tory minister’s son accused of killing his partner’s three-year-old boy by crushing him with a car seat will now take place in September. Alfie Lamb had been put in the footwell of an Audi A4 behind front seat passenger Stephen Waterson, 25. Waterson is said to have deliberately moved the electrically operated seat on to Alfie to punish him for crying, the Old Bailey heard. Alfie’s mother, Adrian Hoare, 23, left him in the footwell…
