Cop ‘illegally passed on info to journalist’

A Met Police officer illegally accessed ‘databases and systems’ to pass on information to a journalist, a court heard. Matthew Olive, 26, is charged with five counts of misconduct in a public office dating from 29 December 2022 to 22 June 2023. He was due to enter pleas at Southwark Crown Court today (tues) but the hearing was adjourned.
