Couple in court over massive tax ‘fiddle’ at landmark hotel

Two former hotel owners accused of cheating the taxman out of over £400,000 appeared in court today. Michael Stainer, 73, and wife Doris Stainer, 58, are accused of fiddling HMRC out of a fortune in unpaid tax while managing The Grand in Folkestone, Kent.
