Following an article published on 8 February 2018, we wish to make clear that Darren Emanuel, a financial consultant, successfully appealed a conviction under section 90(2) of the Police Act 1996 when a magistrate wrongly found he had worn an item of police uniform whilst commuting to work on a former police motorcycle.
