Daniel Khalife claimed he wanted to be a double agent

A former soldier who escaped from prison while on remand for spying for Iran claimed his espionage was a ‘double bluff’, a court heard. Daniel Khalife, 23, sparked a nationwide manhunt when he broke out of HMP Wandsworth by using bed sheets to strap himself to the underside of a food delivery truck.
