Dealer hid his stash in his underpants

A drug dealer brazenly traded cannabis in Cambridge city centre from a stash hidden in his underpants.

Local CCTV operators alerted police after spotting Kashton Henry, 19, delving into his underwear as Christmas shoppers walked by in Market Street on 18 December.

When police arrested him they recovered the rucksack he had hidden in a nearby shop containing 36 wraps of cannabis, six wraps of crystal MDMA and a knife.

Henry, of no fixed address, was jailed for two years and three months at Huntingdon Law Courts.

He admitted, possession with intent to supply cannabis, possession of class A drugs and possession of a knife in a public place.

Detective Constable Antonio Fernandez, said: ‘Thanks to the suspicions raised by CCTV operators, Henry, has been taken off the streets.

‘We’ll continue to disrupt and dismantle the activities of drug dealers who bring associated crime including violence, theft and burglary to Cambridge.’
