Depressed shopkeeper ‘slit his kids’ throats’

A shopkeeper accused of slitting the throats of his two children told police he was depressed because his customers had upset him, a court heard. Pavinya Nithiyakumar, aged 19 months, and her three-year-old brother Nigish Nithiyakumar died after the attack at their home in Aldborough Parade, Ilford, east London on April 26.
