An Oxford University student who stole cryptocurrency worth more than £2m from over 100 victims is facing jail. Dutchman Wybo Wiersma, 40, set up a bogus website for people investing in an online currency called Iota. His victims all logged onto the same site – iotaseed.io – to generate passwords with what they believed to be a random string of 81 characters including capital letters and the number 9.
