Former Met officer denies abuse charges

A former Met Police officer accused of nine sexual offences against children was remanded in custody today (weds). Adam Merriman, 37, indicated not guilty pleas to sexual assault by touching of a child under 13, six counts of arranging the commission of a child sex offence and two of sexual activity in the presence of a child.
