Fraud victim told to pretend she had cancer

An accused fraudster took her neighbours on trips to non-existent probation offices to swindle £360,000 from them, a court heard. Sheila Khatri, 31, allegedly told them a friend, Nasar Mirza, 29, had won £46.5million in online gambling and needed cash immediately to unlock their lucrative prize.
