He forced woman to marry him so he could stay in the UK

An illegal immigrant who forced a woman into marriage and left her fearing for her life has been jailed for four-and-a-half years. Kulbir Singh Moroak, 28, hoped marrying the victim would help him secure a UK passport and visa. Moroak subjected the woman to physical, verbal and emotional abuse for months, before forcing her into marriage. The victim had feared that if she spoke out, she would be abused further but fortunately her concerned friends contacted Bedfordshire Police last November….
