He nicked £8k of wine from an Italian restaurant

A thief who stole £8,000 of wine from a restaurant has been jailed for over four months. Shahed Ahmed, 41, grabbed 13 bottles of wine from Eataly in Bishopsgate, Liverpool Street, valued in total at £8,100.75, in the early hours of 9 February. City of London Police officers analysed CCTV footage at the venue which shows Ahmed stealing the alcohol while wearing a distinctive jacket and hat.
