Healthcare boss jailed for cheating the taxman

A care home boss who fleeced the taxman out of £270,000 has been jailed for three years. Abbey Healthcare owner Prahdyal Sodhi, 64, pulled off the swindle with company secretary Rajesh Doshi, 49. The pair were convicted of cheating the public revenue while accountant Rajeev Shaunak, 52, was cleared of any wrongdoing after a four-week trial.
