Hoaxer accused of bomb call

A man has denied making a bomb hoax call to a luxury hotel. Mark Smith, 42, allegedly phoned police on April 13 and claimed there was a device which could ‘explode or ignite’ at the Hilton Hotel in Kensington. Smith denied the charge and was ordered to stand trial at Southwark Crown Court in September.
