Immigration judge accused of massive legal aid fraud blames bent clerk

A judge accused of fleecing the taxpayer of nearly £2 million in false legal aid said he was in hospital suffering from jaundice during one the hearings. Rasib Ghaffar, 54, was part of a group of legal professionals who dishonestly claimed £1,856,584 in costs relating to a trial in 2011, it is claimed.
