Jail for charity fraudster

A fraudster who plundered more than £550,000 from some of London’s most vulnerable people while working for a charity has been jailed for five years. Graham Broomfield, 54, swindled nearly 100 victims in a ‘contemptible’ scam spanning a number of years. Broomfield worked as an IT contractor for a charity before being taken on as a ‘Direct Payments’ worker which allowed him access to funds meant for vulnerable people.
