Jail for lockdown bicycle thief
A thief who stole a key worker’s bicycle during lockdown has been jailed for the ‘mean and dangerous’ offence. Wayne Brown, 37, jumped over the hedge of Hammersmith’s Ark Conway Primary Academy and stole a £500 bike from teacher James Elliot on 30 March. Known to the police, Brown was immediately identified as the thief by officers who watched CCTV footage of him throwing the bike over the school hedge.
