Jail for mobile banking fraudster

A fraudster who fleeced mobile banking users out of £90,000 was jailed for 34 months. Michael Coker, 33, targeted 50 customers at banks including Barclays and Nationwide by posing as workers to access their accounts between February 2019 and April 2021. Coker asking victims to share a one-time passcode so he could ‘facilitate the registration of their online banking,’ Southwark Crown Court heard.
