Jail for terrorist who fantasised about beheading Katie Hopkins

A wife who bought a hunting knife for her terrorist husband and told him she fantasised about the beheading of Katie Hopkins is facing jail.

Madihah Taheer, 21, mentioned the controversial newspaper columnist after her partner Ummariyat Mirza said he wanted to decapitate leader of far-right group Britain First, Paul Golding.

The conversation took place on Whatsapp in 2015 as the couple courted each other with boasts about who was more extreme, sharing links to ISIS propaganda.

Mirza said: ‘I want Paul Golding’s head’.

Taheer asked: ‘Who’s Paul Golding?’

Mirza replied: ‘Leader of Britain first.’

Taheer then added: ‘Omd I fantasise about Katie Hopkins head. She’s the biggest kuthi (bitch) of them all.’

The couple also made plans to join Islamic State after their marriage in April 2016.

Taheer assisted Mirza I’m preparing act of terrorism after buying him a lethal hunting knife online for £120.

She also splashed out £275 on a plastic torso for him to practise stabbing.

Today (THURS) Taheer was found guilty of one count of preparing a terrorist act following a trial at Woolwich crown court.

Mirza, also 21, pleaded guilty to the same charge last week after conducting research online about targets and how to carry out attacks.

Jurors were shown hundreds of WhatsApp conversations between the lovers over nearly two years.

On 8 December 2015 Taheer messaged Mirza to say that the San Bernardino killers were a married couple with a smiley face sign.

‘If u have plans don’t wait for marriage,’ she added.

‘I need someone brave as a partner,’ Taheer responded.

‘U have a brain and u listen to commands. What I have in mind is very sophisticated though Allah says go fourth wether light or heavy, I’d rather do it and cause maximum effect and to do this one I need a right hand.’

‘If we get married then u know I’m up for it,’ Taheer replied.

The next day they wondered if the Islamic State would have laser eye surgery to fix Taheer’s faltering eyesight.

After an eye appointment she told her future husband: ‘I won’t be able to get laser for at least another year, maybe 2.’

‘Okay u may aswell just get the surgery in jannah (paradise),’ Mirza said.

‘Ummar I’m not making H (hijrah) without getting laser done first,’ she replied.

‘U shut up they have facilities there okay.’

‘No they do not have contact lenses.’

‘They have everything we have here but better,’ he said.

Taheer added: ‘Imagine if we’re on the run and my glasses break, then what? We r f’d.’

Mirza chillingly responded: ‘U can just be ishtihadi (martyr) man allow u. I’ll use remote control, and u just hit the switch when u in.’

During a conversation about suicide bombing, Taheer told Mirza: ‘U are so bait man, this is whatsapp u know.’

He replied: ‘I don’t care anymore man I’ve done nothing for this seen. Let them lock me up and throw away the keys so I can be in solitary worshipping my lord like the boys of the cave.’

The pair also discussed how to tell their parents they planned to join IS following their marriage.

‘They’re giving you away to a terrorist who doesn’t wanna live that long and they don’t even know it,’ said Mirza.

Taheer replied: ‘If only they knew were planning to go within the first year of marriage lol.’

A few days later she told Mirza: ‘My parents already know I wanna go, it won’t be a shock to them.

‘Like he defo knows I want to and kind knows it will happen. I’ll tell him soon.

Mirza said: ‘Ask him would u still give him my hand if ummar wants to move to the Islamic State?’

Taheer then messaged Mirza seeking justification for the Charlie Hebdo massacre three days after the tragedy during an argument with her father.

‘Quick give me evidence to support that what the mujahideen did in France was right i.e killing innocents.’

Mirza then responded: ‘These are the same people who stood in solidarity with Charlie Hebdo, who supported the mocking of our prophet, these people are the ones that put into power the government which was bombarding the Muslims in Iraq and Syria.

‘They claimed je suis charlie so not they reep what they sow. 2 camps, Islam, Kufr. make a choice and stick to it,’ he added.

Taheer of St Agatha’s Gardens, Birmingham, denied but was convicted of one count of preparing a terrorist act.

She will be sentenced with Ummariyat Mirza and his older sister Zainub, who has pleaded guilty in October to sending him terrorist material, on a date yet to be set.
