Kidnap scammer gets 10 months

A hotel worker who tricked his friend out of more than £2,000 by pretending his family had been kidnapped has been jailed for 10 months. Corey Newton, 23, told 20-year-old Georgia Holley his life had been threatened and relatives had been adbucted last September 11.
