Let-off for Rolex robber who had a ‘difficult life’

An Algerian robber who ripped a £30,000 Rolex off a wealthy businessman’s wrist in front of his terrified family walked free after a judge said the mugger had a ‘difficult early life’. Islam Assbelaoui, 21, attacked Deepak Abbhi as he was about to dine with his wife and daughter at Michelin-star restaurant Kai Mayfair on 6 September. Assbelaoui was caught on CCTV approaching the trio from behind with another man before triggering a bike chase through the streets of Mayfair….
