London taxi driver driver was dealing from his cab

Police footage captured the moment officers arrested a taxi driver for supplying cocaine from his cab.

Michael Redgrave, 57, is at the wheel of his black taxi when he is approached by an officer and told: ‘Jump out of the motor please. Keep your hands where I can see them.’

Bald-headed Redgrave, sporting a pair of sunglasses, makes no comment as he is put in handcuffs outside St Pancras railway station on 3 August 2023.

Analysis of mobile phones showed Redgrave drove around the Square Mile dropping off drugs for clients.

Redrave, of Waterloo, awaits sentence after he admitted supplying cocaine to customers across the capital between 1 March 2022 and 5 July 2023.

He was arrested as part of a wider operation relating to the sale of cocaine in the City of London and surrounding areas.

Detective Constable Matt Cooper, in the Serious Organised Crime Team at the City of London Police, said: ‘By using his position as a legitimate cabbie, Redgrave supplied drugs in the City thinking he would be able to evade police. Our extensive evidence proved vital in his guilty plea.

‘The City of London Police’s Serious Organised Crime Team are taking action to disrupt and pursue those involved in the supply of Class A drugs on the streets of London.

‘We continue to actively identify, investigate and prosecute all others attempting to do the same.’
