Mentally ill son ‘tried to murder his mum’

A son tried to murder his 70-year-old mother by stabbing her repeatedly with a large carving knife, a court heard. Jackson Flowers, 29, inflicted seven knife wounds to Huei Flower’ arms, thigh and chest before a lodger at her east London home intervened on 5 June 2023.
