Met police inspector accused of horrific assaults
A Met Police inspector charged with carrying out a catalogue of horrific attacks spanning a 12 year period has appeared in court. John Doyle, 53, previously attached to the Met’s Specialist Firearms Command, faces 17 charges, including wrapping a woman’s face in clingfilm. Doyle, from Liverpool, also faces misconduct charges alleging he gained improper access to a gun and engaged in sexual activity on police premises.
