Nigerian NHS worker ‘shocked’ to be accused of vast phishing scam

An NHS critical worker was part of a Nigerian phishing gang that defrauded victims out of over £15 million, a court heard. Abiodun Olugbenga Ayekun, 41, is said to be the sixth member of the organised operation and accountable for £300,000 of the gang’s profits. He allegedly conspired with convicted gang member and boss of the operation, Olumuyiwa Ogunduyile, 39.
