Nurse faces retrial over blood transfusion blunder

A Phillipino nurse accused of killing a pensioner in a blood transfusion blunder will face a retrial later this year. Lea Ledesma, 48, allegedly gave the wrong blood type to 75-year-old Ali Huseyin at the Heart Hospital in Westmoreland Street, central London on 7 May last year.
