Nurse struck off over colostomy bag blunder

ASHINGTON

A nurse who failed to clean a patient after his colostomy bag burst has been struck off. Tracy Jackson left the man in his own waste while on duty at Wansbeck Hospital, Ashington, Northumberland. She also made repeated errors in the administration, handling and recording of medication between September 2010 and June 2011, the Nursing and Midwifery Council heard.
