An A&E nurse who head butted and punched a drunken patient during a ‘fast moving melee’ has been thrown out of the profession. Robert Rouse attacked the man while on duty at Tameside Hospital in Greater Manchester in December 2016 The patient was ‘troubling another patient’ who was waiting for treatment and followed Rouse as he moved this patient to another area.
