Nurse struck off for neglecting her pet dog and cat

A children’s nurse who allowed her 12-year-old Collie to get so ill it had to be put down has been struck off. Christine Smith, 53, took a holiday while her dog Lucy was left to suffer from a deteriorating skin infection.
