Paramedic suggested patient was a timewaster who should take a morphine overdose

An angry paramedic described a vulnerable 999 caller as a ‘parasite’ and suggested to colleagues that a ‘massive dose of morphine would resolve the problem,’ a tribunal heard. Clive Gill, used an Ambulance Trust email account to bombard crew members with messages about his ‘disgust’ at the frequent caller. He said the woman, who cannot be named, was a ‘drain on NHS resources’ despite her status as a vulnerable service user, the Health & Care Professions Tribunal Service panel heard….
