Pensioner’s ‘murder’ was treated as non-suspicious

The death of a pensioner allegedly murdered with an umbrella pole was treated as non-suspicious by police despite his headboard being broken and his blood spattered on the wall, a court heard. Robert Hill, 81, was found dead by a care worker at Woodbourne Avenue, Streatham, southwest London, on 16 May.
