Protestor ‘defaced Winston Churchill statue’

A protestor accused of spraying the Parliament Square statue of Sir Winston Churchill with red graffiti branding him a ‘Zionist war criminal’ today (mon) denied criminal damage. Caspar San Giorgi, 38, was arrested on 27 February after graffiti appeared on the bronze statue with phrases including ‘Globalise the Intifada’ and ‘Free Palestine’.
