Protestors who hounded Newsnight political editor walk free

Four anti-lockdown protesters who hounded BBC journalist Nicholas Watt in Whitehall were spared jail. Footage shared on social media shows a swarm of protestors chasing the Newsnight political editor on Whitehall, then onto Richmond Terrace, yelling ‘Traitor’. Mr Watt, who was wearing a BBC lanyard, was chased by a mob of around 15 people screaming abuse in his face on 14 June last year.
