Roadsweeper resigned – but council kept paying him

A roadsweeper wrongly pocketed £31,000 in wages when he was paid by a local council after he had left the job, a court heard. Szczepan Lakomiec, 37, was employed by the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham as a ‘street services officer’ from 2011 until 2015 when he resigned.
