A robber who claimed he led police on a nail-biting car chase across a park in front of petrified dog-walkers because he ‘panicked’ has been jailed for eight months. Errol Rowe, 37, mounted pavements and smashed into bollards as he made off after officers asked him to pull over in a black Vauxhall Astra on 22 October.
