Russian captain ‘killed crew member in North Sea crash’

The Russian captain of a cargo ship which collided with an oil tanker in the North Sea killing one of the crew appeared in court today (mon) for the first day of his trial. Vladimir Motin, 59, is charged with manslaughter after one of his crew members was killed in the crash off the east coast of Yorkshire.
